The Beagle can be from 13-16 inches tall and weighs about 18-30 lbs. Its head is dome-shaped with a pointed muzzle. The nose is black with well-developed nostrils. The Beagle has a keen sense of smell and can find the tiniest morsel of food hidden anywhere. Its eyes are brown or hazel and the ears are long and hang against its cheeks. The Beagle comes in a variety of colors including the usual hound tricolor.
