Animal Airways, the world's largest pet air transport launched an Israel-based 24/7 international veterinarian support service.

They have subcontracted with Terminal4Pets, an Israeli company, and are offering a full-time globally accessible veterinarian guidance team.

The service allows families traveling with pets to consult with a veterinarian 24/7 in 10 languages.

Animal Airways is currently negotiating with other airlines, hoping to provide this service further.

Terminal4Pets runs Animal Airways services in the Middle East and Africa. They already offer a host of conveniences for pet travel including an international team of veterinarians, pet handlers and pet travel agents. Available are custom-made kennels, flight kits, customs clearance assistance, and a VIP (Very Important Pet) service to meet your pet on arrival and take it to its new home via a "Pet Shuttle."

Dr. Eytan Kreiner, founder of Terminal4Pets and head veterinarian at Animal Airways said, "If someone flies anywhere in the world, it's the veterinarian's responsibility for the animal's well-being and we have on-ground staff 24/7."

Animal Airways flies exotic and large animals as well as dogs, cats, birds, etc.

They make sure that each animal has the proper vaccinations, blood work, is microchipped, provides all veterinary services, an animal taxi service, kennels and complete paperwork on both ends.

They must always be up-to-date on all regulations all over the world.

The company also offers a Pet2JetVIP service where a person will take your pet to the plane, place it on board and personally see to its comfort including checking for the correct temperature.

Terminal4Pets has been operating since 2004. Services begin at about $275 with VIP service at $200.
